Only an optimal energy concept will enable communities to achieve the energy turnaround. With the different modules of Cubes®, Energiewerkstatt is proud to introduce an ideal solution. 

The concept is developed by the citizens of the communities themselves – under the guidance of Energiewerkstatt. The existing energy sources serve as the starting point for a joint journey to a future based on renewable energy. To make sure we get there, we must initiate projects, activities and targeted measures.

“Every kWh of energy saved is a kWh that does not have to be produced” – Energiewerkstatt fully subscribes to this view. The changeover to wind energy combined with solar, biomass, hydropower and geothermics is the right way to a sustainable energy future. Our declared goal is to produce 100 percent energy from renewables in 30 years.

The headquarters of Energiewerkstatt in Munderfing provides positive proof that an office building can be easily supplied from 100 percent renewable energy sources. In this case, a pellets heating system, solar panels and a photovoltaic system supply the necessary energy. Any electricity that cannot be self-generated comes from a wind turbine in which Energiewerkstatt holds a share. In 2005, the building received the Upper Austrian timber construction award, the “Special Prize for Energy Efficient Construction”.
